It has been a busy summer here at the Paint Valley Local School District campus. Our district maintenance/custodial staff have been working hard to get the buildings ready for the 2017-2018 school year. A few of our projects this summer have included painting the elementary hallways, sanding, repainting and refinishing the high school gym floor, completion of a new ticket booth at the outside sports complex, rehabbing the press box, as well as additional concrete.
Teresa Pelletier will be moving back to Guidance/Student Services and Joe Holbert will be moving from the classroom to assume the Special Education/Curriculum Coordinator position. Additionally, Regina Newland will be our new Student Services Data Clerk and she will be working with Mrs. Pelletier, Mr. Holbert and Mrs. Salomone forming a Student Services team to better meet the needs of our students here at Paint Valley. We are very excited about the possible future programming that this team will implement.
Paint Valley will also have some new faces coming on board for the 2017-2018 school year:
Thomas Newman - Elementary Intervention Specialist
Megan Patterson - 1st Grade Teacher
Marc Miller - HIgh School Science Teacher
James Garner - High School Social Studies
The District will continue to focus on the three goals of student achievement, collaboration/communication, and fiscal responsibility. We will also continue to implement the Leader in Me framework and will be in year three of implementation. Our end in mind is to become a leadership Lighthouse school. The Paint Valley Local School District is committed to providing the best possible education and environment for our students.
The Paint Valley Local School District is filled with exceptional people and it is an honor to serve as the district's Superintendent. My door is always open and I am always open to listening to new ideas. Together, we can make Paint Valley great!
