It has been a busy summer here at Paint Valley Local Schools. Our custodial employees have been working diligently to keep the buildings clean and sanitized for the 2021-2022 school year.
I know one of the biggest questions families may have is how is Paint Valley going to be handling COVID precautions for the upcoming school year??
In the Buildings:
Our custodians will continue to clean and sanitize all buildings frequently. Hand sanitizer stations will still be available in all buildings. As for the wearing of masks, this will be up to the individual if they want to wear a mask in the buildings. No individual will be questioned why they are or aren’t wearing a mask. (Please keep in mind if the Governor or government agency issues a mask mandate, the district is required to abide by the mandate and all individuals would be required to wear a mask.)
On the Bus:
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is requiring that all individuals ridding on public transportation wear a mask. This does include public school buses. The CDC regulates public transportation but not the buildings which is why masks are only required on the school bus.
This past year has been difficult for everyone and we hope that this upcoming year things get back to normal here at Paint Valley and with your families as well. We want to assure you that we will be taking precautions for your students health and safety. We are in contact with the Ross County Health District on a daily/weekly basis and they will help guide us if a staff member or student tests positive for COVID.
Please continue to check our website and Facebook for updates. Our goal is to get information to our community and families as quickly as possible.
My door is always open and I am always open to listening to new ideas. Together, we can make Paint Valley great. GO BEARCATS!!!
