District Nurse
Hi, my name is Holly Pummel & I am Paint Valley’s District Nurse. I am a Paint Valley Graduate. In my high school years, I completed the Allied Health Program at Pickaway-Ross. I knew early on, my career would be in nursing. After graduation, I completed my Practical Nursing Certificate. I would then use my LPN to work in family medicine and urgent care. While working, I completed my associates and bachelors degree in nursing at University of Rio Grande. The majority of my nursing practice was in the emergency department. I was fortunate enough to work at a critical access hospital where I was part of a great interdisciplinary team that worked together to provide care for our rural community. I decided to continue my education and obtained a Master's of Science in Nursing with a focus in Family Nurse Practitioner. I completed this at Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 2022. As a school nurse, I do not use my NP license, however, I still practice outside of school hours providing aesthetic services. Ever since my community nursing clinical in 2020, I have longed to be a school nurse. Having the opportunity to work at my own school has been the biggest blessing. I look forward to many years to come. Once a Bearcat, always a Bearcat!Â
