Welcome to Paint Valley

 _____________

Paint Valley provides each student an opportunity to achieve the skills necessary to be a productive citizen, to become a lifelong learner, and to meet the challenges of the future.

Parents and Fans:  The school district has an increasing issue with students being unsupervised during athletic activities. In an effort to keep all students safe and injury free, we are asking that any student in grades preschool to 8th grade, to be accompanied by an adult when attending a sporting event.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. We want all spectators to enjoy our athletic events.

Free, Reduced, and Full-Pay Priced Meals

for the 2023-2024 school year

Dear Parent:

During the 2022-2023 school year, students and families benefited from a no-cost school meals for all students, made possible by the Ohio Department of Education and the United States Department of Agriculture and the Paint Valley Local School District.    Unfortunately, our school no longer qualifies for no-cost school meals to all students based on the 2023 percentage of students that were eligible for the benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Ohio Works Final (OWF), foster children that are under the legal responsibility of a foster care agency or court, and children who meet the definition of homeless runaway or migrant are eligible for free meals.

The district’s percentage for the 2022-23 school year was 32.57% and we must be 40% or higher in order to qualify for free meals for the total population of the district, Community Eligibility Program (CEP). School meals will still be available to all students, however, they will not be free to all students.

Please fill out the application enclosed in this mailing.  If you are not enrolled in one of the programs mentioned above that already qualify your child for free or reduced lunches, you may qualify based on your income.  All households should consider filling out the application enclosed because it may save you money by not having to pay for your child’s lunch at school.
